CAPRAC-t Wipe Test - Well Counter

The CAPRAC-t is a versatile wipe test and well counter developed for the detection of low-level contamination and isotope identification through gamma spectroscopy. It features a NaI(Tl) well crystal detector and an integrated 256-channel multi-channel analyzer (MCA) for precise measurements and detailed spectral analysis.

The instrument includes automatic energy calibration, background subtraction, and comprehensive quality control functions such as chi-square and MDA (Minimum Detectable Activity) tests. Users can define manual or automatic Regions of Interest (ROI) to optimize analysis protocols.

Its 8″ SVGA color touchscreen provides an intuitive user interface, while data output can be displayed in multiple units (cpm, dpm, curies, becquerels). The system includes USB and RS-232 ports for connection to a PC or printer.

Compact and robust, the CAPRAC-t offers a short measurement time (for example, 1 nCi in approx. 6 seconds), making it a reliable tool for nuclear medicine departments where speed, sensitivity, and accuracy are critical.
