Scrotal Ultrasound Phantom

The Scrotal Ultrasound Phantom US-11 is designed for hands-on training in scrotal ultrasound examination. Molded in soft resin, it reproduces the scrotum, testicle, epididymis and penis, and delivers life-like ultrasound images with a linear transducer.

Two interchangeable scrotum units are supplied: a normal unit and a pathological unit carrying a 10 mm testicular tumor in each testis. Trainees can therefore work through normal anatomy and malignant findings on the same phantom, and repeat the sequence as often as required.

Applications cover patient positioning and preparation, scrotal ultrasound screening and the visualization of testicular cancer. Development was supervised by Charlotte Henningsen, MS, RT(R), RDMS, RVT, FSDMS, FAIUM, Chair and Professor of the Sonography Department at Adventist University of Health Sciences.
