The Compact PET Shipping System is designed to transport a 10, 20 or 30 ml vial containing high-energy radionuclides. Designed to conserve space and minimize weight, the entire system weighs only 50 lb (22.7 kg).
The shipping container can be placed at a convenient height while the pig is easily removed from the shipping case. The system meets DOT Yellow II Type A packaging requirements when shipping up to 1.5 Ci (55.5 GBq) of FDG F-18.
The complete system includes a PET Vial Pig, absorbent sheets, and a shipping container with lead shielding, ensuring optimal radiation protection for staff during PET radiopharmaceutical transport.
