The Abdomen Phantom Portal Venous Phase (model 53-02) simulates a contrast-enhanced human abdomen in the portal venous phase, covering from the 11th thoracic (T11) to the 4th lumbar (L4) vertebra.
Designed for CT and CBCT imaging, it allows performance evaluation, protocol verification, and operator training in abdominal contrast and resolution analysis.
The phantom accurately reproduces bone, vascular and soft-tissue structures — including the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, adrenals, kidneys, stomach, small intestine and colon.
Its cellulose-polymer composite with air inclusions (~-160 HU) provides realistic densities without liquids, ensuring stability and long-term durability.
Applications:
- Quality assurance and constancy testing of abdominal CT scanners
- Validation of portal venous phase imaging protocols
- Training for segmentation and image interpretation in abdominal radiology
- Optimization of contrast and resolution parameters
