Large Spherical Shell

The ECT/SPS-LG/A large sphere can represent either a solid tumor or a tumor with a necrotic core by providing two separately fillable compartments: the inner core and the outer shell. Typical volumes are approximately 26 mL (core) and 80 mL (shell), enabling controlled contrasts for quantitative assessment of reconstruction, sensitivity, and attenuation/scatter effects in PET/SPECT.

Applications:

  • Simulation of solid tumor or tumor with necrotic core
  • Quantitative studies: apparent size, wall thickness, and mass
  • Research and reconstruction validation in nuclear imaging

Specifications

  • Inner core: ID 37 mm; OD 39 mm; wall 1 mm; volume ≈ 26 mL
  • Outer shell: ID 60 mm; OD 63 mm; wall 1.5 mm; volume ≈ 80 mL
  • Filling: core and shell independently fillable
  • Material: clear PMMA
