The Monitor 4 is a compact and versatile analog survey meter designed by S.E. International for detecting alpha, beta, gamma and X-ray radiation.
Rugged and easy to operate, it offers three selectable ranges (0-0.5, 0-5 and 0-50 mR/h), displaying readings in CPM or mR/h/µSv/h (with SI option).
Equipped with a halogen-quenched GM tube with a 1.5–2.0 mg/cm² mica window, the Monitor 4 provides excellent sensitivity to low-level radiation.
Each event triggers a red LED flash and audible beep (can be silenced for discreet use).
It runs on a 9 V alkaline battery providing up to 2 000 hours of continuous operation and includes a built-in battery test function.
Ideal for industrial gauge checks (Cs-137), source location, area monitoring and personnel protection, the Monitor 4 is valued for its reliability, accuracy and simplicity.
Applications:
- Ambient dose-rate measurement (alpha, beta, gamma, X-rays)
- Industrial gauge verification (Cs-137 moisture, density, level)
- Radioactive source location
- Area and personnel radiation protection
- Training and radiation safety demonstrations
