BolusCare

BolusCare is a patient-specific, two-component bolus produced directly at the treatment site and individually adapted to the patient's anatomy. The soft material moulds itself to even complex body contours, reducing air gaps and creating optimal conditions for reproducible treatment throughout the entire course of therapy.

Ready for use in approximately 30 seconds, with an adaptation window of 2 to 3 minutes. With its defined material density of approximately 1.6 g/cm³, BolusCare is clearly visible on CT scans and can be precisely integrated into radiation planning. The dose calculation is based on the actual patient-specific bolus geometry — not on a theoretically assumed material thickness.

Compatible with photon, electron, SGRT and brachytherapy applications. BolusCare also opens up new possibilities in selected brachytherapy applications, for example for catheter stabilisation or to adapt to complex anatomical conditions.
