This phantom allows physicists to perform accurate CT-to-density calibration for treatment planning verification. It includes 32 ion chamber cavities and 20 density insert cavities, supplied with a full set of water-equivalent inserts.
The phantom is made from a proprietary heterogeneous material, proven water-equivalent to within 0.5%. By rotating the phantom on its base, measurements can be made with 0.5 cm resolution along any transverse plane through the phantom’s center.
