The Catphan 600 Phantom is a modular and comprehensive quality assurance system for multi-slice CT scanners. It enables precise assessment of slice geometry, high-resolution imaging, sensitometry, low-contrast detectability, image uniformity, and noise performance in accordance with leading QA standards.
Designed for acceptance testing, routine QA, and reproducibility studies, the Catphan 600 includes the following modules:
- CTP404 module: slice geometry, sensitometry, alignment and CT number linearity verification.
- CTP591 module: accurate slice width and table incrementation using precision bead ramps.
- CTP528 module: spatial resolution evaluation up to 21 line pairs per cm.
- CTP515 module: low-contrast detectability for both sub-slice and supra-slice targets.
- CTP486 module: uniformity, noise, and circular symmetry evaluation.
Encased in a 150 mm diameter, 200 mm long housing, the phantom features an integrated mount with built-in leveling to ensure proper positioning and eliminate table-related artifacts.
This phantom is recognized worldwide as a benchmark for CT performance evaluation in diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy, research and industrial development.
