CT AAPM Phantom

The CT AAPM Phantom is a modular QA device designed to perform all CT quality control tests in accordance with AAPM Report No. 1.
Constructed from PMMA (water-equivalent material), it features a fillable tank with quick-disconnect valves and interchangeable inserts covering all performance parameters.

Integrated modules include:

  • Low contrast section (12 cavities with variable diameters and densities)
  • CT number linearity (5 rods of different materials: PE, PMMA, polycarbonate, polystyrene, nylon)
  • Spatial resolution module (air holes of varying diameters)
  • Slice thickness ramps (three aluminum strips angled 45°)
  • Optional geometry section (ramps, wires and alignment inserts)
  • Triple low-contrast module (for subtle contrast detectability).

The CT AAPM Phantom complies with IEC 61223-3-5 and IEC 61223-2-6, ensuring conformity for constancy and acceptance testing in medical CT systems.
