The Take-Apart Pixy is an anatomically and radiologically accurate training phantom designed for teaching and research. At 156 cm in height and 48 kg in weight, it realistically represents an adult female and can be disassembled into 9 parts for easy handling and transport.
It is used for patient positioning practice, protocol verification, CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy training, and for evaluating trainee performance.
Abdominal and pelvic organs (stomach, gall bladder, kidneys, urinary bladder, rectum, sigmoid flexure) can be included, with or without fill ports to allow injection of water or contrast media. Available in opaque or transparent versions, Take-Apart Pixy accurately reproduces soft tissue, bone, and lung attenuation.
