The CRC-77tHR Dose Calibrator from Capintec is specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of isotope production and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing environments, where very high activity measurements are required.
Its hardware design minimizes the impact of high radiation fields on electronics, ensuring reliable operation in hot cells, hoods, and production facilities. The system is based on a deep-well ionization chamber, optimized for accurate measurements under extreme activity conditions.
The CRC-77tHR supports activity measurements up to 400 Ci (15 TBq) of Tc-99m and 130 Ci (4.8 TBq) of F-18. An 8-inch VGA color touch screen provides an efficient workflow with clear on-screen display of the nuclide, activity, unit of measure, and calibration number.
A fully automated quality assurance program is included, covering constancy, accuracy, linearity, and geometry testing, along with comprehensive self-diagnostics. Custom-length liners and dippers are available to match hot cell dimensional requirements.
