The Patient Dose Calibrator (PDC) is a reference-class instrument for field calibration of patient dose and DAP (KAP) measurement systems.
It ensures traceable and accurate results for inter-institutional dose comparisons and validation of installed DAP meters.
The PDC can be used:
- with a phantom, to simulate patient exposure and scattered radiation,
- on its elevation stand, to measure air kerma directly.
Its tough ABS housing protects the built-in ionization chambers and electronics, while the display provides DAP, DAP-rate and accumulated dose after each exposure.
