Calibrated RS PRO ILM 1337 Digital Light Meter

The calibrated RS PRO ILM 1337 digital light meter measures ambient illuminance across a 0 to 20,000 lx range, with a spectral response close to the CIE photopic curve. In medical imaging, it is used to control the illuminance of the reading room, so that ambient light does not impair the reading of films on a viewing box or images on diagnostic monitors.

This ambient light check is a key part of mammography quality control: the measurement is taken with the viewing boxes switched off, under normal reading conditions, in line with the procedures set by the French health authority (ANSM). Controlled illuminance reduces the radiologist's visual fatigue and helps secure the diagnosis.

Its remote photodiode detector on a flexible cable is easily positioned at the measurement point, while the LCD screen ensures a fast, accurate readout. Data Hold and MAX/MIN functions simplify value logging. Lightweight and pocket-sized, it is supplied in a calibrated version with certificate.
